Аннотация The Mughal Empire ruled India from the 16th to the 19th century and was known for its grandeur, opulence and love of hunting. Hunting played an essential role in Mughal life, not only providing entertainment but also showcasing bravery and martial skills. Emperors like Akbar and Jahangir often organized grand hunting parties that included nobles and courtiers. Shikargah was a hunting ground, often fenced off to contain game, and was also used as a game reserve for breeding and raising animals for hunting. It was a symbol of royal power and wealth, and provided a steady supply of food for the royal family. The Mughals employed various hunting techniques, including falconry and hawking. They also implemented regulations to balance hunting with conservation efforts. This paper aims to explore the various hunting methods and techniques employed by the Mughals and their approaches to conservation.
